The Guest House B&B Moist Banana Bread
To give the banana bread a yummy banana flavor, I take over ripe bananas and freeze them. When I'm ready to make banana bread I defrost the bananas, which are very gooey but make up into a delicious moist banana bread.
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup buttermilk + 1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Plcae eggs, bananas, vegetable oil, buttermilk and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Beat with electric mixer until well blended. Stir in flour, sugar, baking soda and salt until all dry ingredients are belnded in. Stir in chopped nuts. Pour into one large loaf pan or two medium size loaf pans that have been sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Bake 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Remove from oven, cool 15 minutes and then remove from pans.
