Hillside House Bed & Breakfast

Hillside House caters to adults seeking relaxation from their daily lives. Our seven guest rooms all have private baths and offer a variety of features such as king or queen beds, goose down mattress tops, window seats, TV/VCR, telephone, free WI-FI internet access, and harbor or garden views. Our most popular room, the Eagle's Nest, is secluded on the third floor. It has beautiful views of the harbor and Mt. Baker and features a king-size bed,  TV/VCR, wet bar, private balcony and fireplace. The bath has a two-person Jacuzzi tub plus a shower.

The common areas include a large living room with fireplace, dining room, and 1,000 square foot deck to enjoy the harbor and mountain views. The grounds feature landscaped gardens and a two-story atrium filled with colorful birdhouses, flowers and trees. We are located just 8 blocks northwest of the ferry terminal, 5 blocks from the center of town, and 1/2 mile from the Friday Harbor airport.

Hillside House, established in 1989, is featured in over 15 guidebooks and throughout the Internet. We have a Three-Diamond Rating from the American Automobile Association (AAA)and a Three-Star Rating from Mobil.

A day at Hillside House begins with the smell of coffee. Cereals, fruit, and juice are available for early risers. We serve a full hot breakfast, buffet style, from 8:30 to 9:30 and our famous Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies are always within easy reach. We are sorry but we cannot accommodate special dietary needs. Guests are welcome to keep food in our guest refrigerator but we do not cook special meals nor allow use of the kitchen.

Reservations can be made via our website reservation page, email, or by dialing our toll-free phone (US & Canada) 800-232-4730 to assure we can meet your needs. Our rates vary by the time of year. We require a minimum of fourteen days notice prior to your day of arrival for cancellations or shortened stays. We accept most major credit cards, as well as travelers and personal checks. We do not accept pets. Children age 10 and up are welcome.
