There is much to do in the area. You can go whale watching or boating, or take a dinner cruise. Fish, hike, cycle, bird watch, kayak or just relax and unwind. There are 2700 acres of forestland in Anacortes, perfect for walking or cycling.  There are trailheads very near our house.  We are about a mile from the water, a 10 minute drive from the ferry and 5 minutes from downtown Anacortes.  There are many excellent restaurants in town, as well as several antique shops, a golf course, bowling alley and movie theater.
