The Washington State Bed and Breakfast Guild (WBBG) was formed by 50 charter members in 1986. This group's concept for the Guild was to provide an information network throughout the state for member B&B's as well as developing a strong voice for the industry with state regulatory and tourism agencies.
Purpose Statement: "WBBG is the recognized voice, industry leader, and information resource for Washington B&Bs and guests. Our focus is to market, network, educate, and advocate."
The WBBG is a voluntary association of bed and breakfast owners representing Washington State inns which meet high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. All members are independently inspected and approved. Through cooperative efforts, these inns work closely with all state and local governmental agencies to promote tourism and to assure high standards of safety and service within the bed and breakfast industry. The Guild acts as a public resource for state and local regulatory agencies governing the growing B&B industry.
The Guild has developed into an organization that actively promotes high standards for the bed and breakfast industry and tourism as a whole.
We hold an Annual Meeting for the whole membership and guests each year the includes a trade show and educational workshops as well as a business meeting. In 2016, the meeting will be November 7 and 8 at the Northwest Maritime Center in Port Townsend, WA.
Are you a current B&B owner or aspiring innkeeper? Be sure to register for one of our regional meetings in the spring to learn more about WBBG and meet other innkeepers in your area. For more details about becoming a WBBG member, see our Membership page.
